纯种特征一：看泰迪的头部

纯种泰迪的脑袋，都是小而圆，轮廓明显，额头微微隆起，不能完全没有额段。泰迪的口吻长度约为，头盖骨的9/10，口吻不长！

另外，主人也要摸一下泰迪犬的嘴巴，泰迪犬嘴巴实际上是细长的，只是有毛发覆盖，显得嘴巴短粗。

纯种特征二：看泰迪的眼睛

泰迪的眼睛也是小而椭圆的，眼睛一般为杏仁眼，看起比较可爱，眼睛太大太圆都是犬种血统的缺陷。

纯种特征三：看泰迪的耳朵

纯种泰迪犬的耳朵比较长，沿脸颊两边下垂，耳朵扁平，从根部处逐渐变宽，耳尖是圆的，附有很长的卷毛。如果把耳朵往前拉，理想情况是达到或经过泰迪犬的嘴角。

纯种特征四：看泰迪的胸腰

纯种泰迪犬的胸比较宽阔舒展，腰部短而宽，身材比例属于中等，不会过长、过短，身体肌肉结实匀称。

纯种特征五：看泰迪的四肢

纯种的泰迪犬四肢都比较纤细，尤其是前足，小而圆，骨量不大。如果你发现自家的泰迪犬四肢比较粗，足爪骨量大，就很可能不是纯种泰迪犬了！

纯种特征六：看泰迪的毛发

泰迪犬是水猎犬，水猎犬的毛毛发防水性比较好，毛发会一直生长，很少掉毛，通常毛发都是波浪状或弯曲的，因此纯种泰迪都是卷毛，且毛发非常浓密。
